In our 40+ year history at this location, until 2013 we had no computers on site. Our reputation was built on Old World Craftsmanship. Measure twice, cut once. Pay close attention to detail. Understand what the customer wants before he leaves. Even today, when you come in, we will sit down with you and make a hand sketch so you are assured that the project in your head, got transferred to ours. Only then will we go out on the shop floor and turn that idea into reality.
Today Mad Dog Metal has several CNC machines that use State of the Art Technology. This allows repeatable quality, fast cut times, and high precision. We use Solidworks for 3D modelling and design, and Metalix CAM and Nesting software to transfer that Solidworks design to the machines. The automated nesting allows cutting a sheet with minimum waste. So whether you need one part or hundreds, we’ve got you covered.
Efficiency involves getting your project done the quickest, most cost effective way. That’s why at Mad Dog Metal we strive to combine the Old World Craftsmanship with State of the Art Technology and do what’s best for you. For example, we can run out and shear you some metal in less time than it takes to wake up the CNC Laser.
